P2 | MERGE
amina kamari
The concept of two elements merging leading to different consequences is derived from the movie Paprika. Upon merging at a point, elements divert and become stable having Paprika solving the consequences of the merge by neutralizing them. This concept is implemented in a house model placed on a roof with two non-neutral entities merging to divert and become stable. The avatar that lives in this house is a workaholic individual with a fear of large wide spaces. The volume, containing compacted spaces that would ensure safety and security for the avatar, is divided into two circulations, beginning with a space that reflects on positive emotions and reaching a neutral workspace. However, the second consists of a space that reflects on negative emotions which gradually neutralizes as it reaches a bedroom and a kitchen. Upon the integration of both circulations, a void is created by the merge which eventually diverts as the neutral-balanced spaces separate.
