Noticing how the different volumes of the Khan aL Khayyatin, Hammam Ezzedine, and qasr ezzedine with all the buildings surrounding them are assembled around the site in a random and a clustered manner, as in a raumplan, I read the space as an assembly where there are different heights of volumes which allows visual connections between the areas. In some areas, I expanded the spaces/ volumes, leaving them fully opened up to the sky, creating an experience of stateliness. In others, the volumes are compressed and more close to human dimensions, thus qualifying each space to create a specific experience related to its intended usage.
