Man-kind have always created borders, walls, fences, and worst of all “labels” to stand against one another, boundaries that can be called the “Boundaries of Separation”.
Can’t you hear the Lebanese chant for unity? For justice? Can’t you feel them? Their love for one another as the Shi’a, Christians, and Sunni, hold each other’s hands from the South to the North to pick up pieces of the country’s shattered beating heart… Beirut?
This project aims to create a “united” contemplation and memorial space, limiting the space through natural boundaries of water and cliffs, referred to as the “Boundaries of Unity”, avoiding walls or separations.
