Achrafieh is a tranquil, hilly, residential and commercial area, with tree-lined streets, traditional French and Ottoman houses, tall office buildings, modern coffee and lunch bars. The project’ plot is on a North-South axis, in a loud zone as it exposed to the main roads and car traffics. As the plot is made of two parking plots connected by a bridge on a slope with multiple approaches,  providing a pedestrian access from one side to another becomes the main focus of the project. Located  close to a large number of schools and universities, a Library would fulfill the youth’s requirements at the center of the area, with public activities on both floor such as: Cafés, Exhibition Area, a Group Study Area and a Book and Print Shop. The bridging in the links the two extremity of the plot: the main library and the wide garden/pedestrian bridge underneath.
