SPACES AS NETWORKS

It’s a quiet area in Manara. The buildings are so close. It resembles a village in the heart of the city. Here each window overlooks another facing window. An inescapable connectivity is established between the neighbors. This project desires to further experiment on the possibilities of architecture to generate interconnections. It attempts to multiply the opportunities of interaction within the interior spaces as such, as well as between the interior and the surrounding neighborhood. The sea view is brought inward through the transparent extension of the volume height. The design aims to revive the existing building and engages with the historical landmark of the area. It uplifts the value of the context and unfolds its hidden beauty to the visitors.
