The project is located in Bashoura, a few hundred meters away from the Green line separating East and West Beirut, harboring underlying political tensions. Aiming to rehabilitate the site, the project is no longer a centerpiece emphasizing war-torn dysfunction, but one showing growth and the capability for occupants to transcend physical injury or disorder through healing with the site. Thus, inhabitants of this co-living space may be those seeking help in returning to normal life after a traumatic injury, or those aiming to provide this care and learn in the process. The site focusses heavily on the provision of healing elements through the use of vegetation and natural light, vertical circulation, and accessibility through lifts and ramps.
