This project pays a tribute to the August 4th catastrophe by mimicking the omnipresent feeling of being on the ground in the aftermath of the explosion: running in all directions, one was forced to oscillate between the rubble, to duck under or step over different debris so to keep going, to reach out to the people in need of help.
While walking between the buildings, or through their corridors, the destruction created various openings, missing doors, inexistent windows, or even missing partitions and cracks in the walls, witnessing the horrors.
To mimic this feeling, an exterior pathway disturbs the flow of circulation, and an extension of the main living area allowed the addition of bar, linking the dining room to the added staircase.
