URBAN JUNGLE

The project is a reaction to the blast that happened in Beirut, as it is divided into urban farming areas and residential areas to provide food security for the city. The concept revolves around intertwining gardens with the different spaces according to the functions of the spaces. The ground floor is an open market extending vertically and horizontally in the project and on the road. Voids were created allowing light and dynamism into the project. Moreover, the circulation of the project is public as the roof is open to the public for urban farming. Considering the elevated residential part, two different typologies were used enhancing the Co-Living concept and allowing different activities for the gardens throughout the project.
