THE MUSICIAN’S RESIDENCY

Having lost a dear one in the port explosion, or trying to adapt, improvise, and overcome the governmental and economical crisises that have risen ever since 2019, only leads to a depressed temple (mind). Thus, designing and forming a space where one could truly set foot outside the chaos in Lebanon and enter a world of zen and therapy is what is needed for the lebanese millenials to relieve their stess and anxiety. The proposal is to transform the building itself, in a sense, into an internal village where the musicians would have both a living space and a studio for their practices or work in one single unit. In order to vary the number of units inside the church building, I had to approach the architecture in a minimal yet effective way (micro-houses).
