Capitalism, “rentier” economy and neoliberal laws have demonstrated failure in the Lebanese economy in the past 3 decades, creating a need for an alternative system where the proletariat possess absolute power over the state sectors. Cooperatives as stated by Marx create the perfect transition to this alternative system in this project and following exiting public transportation in Beirut, housing for the proletariat is created on the failed architectural elements of existing buildings, the roofs, the blind walls and above roads. These imposing parasitical units attach themselves to the buildings and create a dominant parallel cityscape above them, increasingly growing until total supremacy over the city. Progressive technology generates this electronic scape in the futuristic vision that propagates from one nucleus, the House for the proletariat, a tower located in the occupied golf club, a monument accentuating the power and dominance of proletariat.
