BUILDING BRIDGES
lea hakim
Through its work in reconciliation and conflict resolution, the space promotes social cohesiveness and personal liberties while campaigning for equal rights, much like March NGO’s main goal. This is accomplished by using bridges to connect seemingly unrelated places. The bridges are used not only to carry people from zone “A” to zone “B,” but also to create a space “A” within a space “B,” allowing people to interact vertically and horizontally across all levels. As one passes through the spaces, a complex visual and tactile interaction is created, resulting in harmony. People can connect, discuss, communicate, create opportunities, and debate in nonspecific, task-oriented rooms. It is a location of work where the primary goal is to establish a secure, divergent community that welcomes all.
