nadine el zahabi

Following the Covid-19 pandemic that have affected everyone on a global and national scale and have forced countries to impose total lockdowns and confinement for several weeks, most populations have felt important repercussions on their mental and social behaviors. This situation was aggravated in Lebanon by the economic crisis and has especially affected the youth. This project aims to help restore the damage that has been inflicted on the millennial generation and explores the design of a gathering space for the young generation with a maximum level of de-confinement. It is a space where the youth are able to reconnect and to increase their sociability. The proposal highlights the interior-exterior relationships, and interior-interior relationships, using various architectural elements such as light, voids, openings, skylights, and so on.
