TRANSITIONAL WORKSPACE

rim khalife

Reacting to a chaotic surrounding, the project converts the “white house“ into a transitional space, calm and isolated on the inside. This project aims at providing an escape for students to interact and engage in various activities; to revive the social life of the youth which was lost during lockdown. With the current economic crises, commuting from one space to another has been a challenge. This space will be a welcoming address for students and the neighboring surrounding to stop by and spend the day before going home. The design links people in groups; yet offer semi-private spaces for those in need of privacy as well. The design of the space provides multiple connected levels; used for different functions with a focus on a central multifunctioning platform that serves for a variety of purposes.
