Throughout this design course, we were able to overcome various issues in regard to the space and create various solutions in order to benefit from the function of the area. I decided to create an interactive restaurant; a space where the client has access to around 95% of the area. An Italian restaurant was the way to go as it was informative yet fun and easy for the customers to work with. The space was divided into 3 main areas: the preparation space (where the dough is shaped), the kitchen (where food is cooked), and the dining space (where the food is consumed). The space all flowed into each other creating a united space that brought everyone together, thus, creating a sense of openness. Various elements were explored that uplifted the concept of the project. HVAC systems and Acoustics were studied to create a comfortable ambiance for the customers.
