SPLITTING AWAY TO GET CLOSER

Walking through the alleyway, one moves following the direction dictated by the geometry of the space. At some point – close to the middle of the alleyway, while still walking in the same direction, it feels like one is going backward towards the departure point. This perception discovered with the help of the collages was transformed into mechanisms inscribed in a 20×20 cube where two planes pulled in the same direction, split along the way and part in 2 opposite directions. With the multiplication of planes and using the same mechanism, the space generated within the cube creates a place that fosters interaction creating a dialogue between the different planes. The action taking place in the 20×20 cubes was then transformed into an alleyway where stairs are present that allow going forth or turning to the other side and going back.
