The project seeks to bring two cutting-edge disciplines – game design & mechatronics – together under one roof. The proposal formally manifests the different stages of the creative process through a dynamic sequence of spaces across staggered levels, thus rising vertically as a cultural marker in the city reaching out into its context. The play of mass and void accommodates outdoor social spaces acting as nodes for chance encounters and exchange. The transparency between functions allow for views of the comings and goings of people within the building to be framed against the backdrop of the city, creating a stimulating learning experience whereby disciplines interweave.
