Following the explosion that happened in Beirut on August 4, 2020, the project tackles the issue of protection inside a household. Protection is achieved by the use of large oak wooden panels that will open and close to transform the spaces into private or shared areas. Consequently, flexible furniture is designed and used according to the change of function. Upon opening the panels, warm light will radiate inside the house and connection will be achieved. The strategy of visual connection is also demonstrated through the circulation devices, while the staircase filters the presence and absence of the person using it.
